Intellectual Property and Conduct
At A Worship of Writers, your words are yours — always. Anything you share in our community, whether a paragraph, a poem, or an entire chapter, remains your sole intellectual property. We have no interest in reproducing, publishing, or using your work in any way whatsoever.
We ask that you extend the same courtesy to others. Treat every piece you read here as private and protected, just as you would wish for your own writing. This is a space built on mutual respect, trust, and the shared joy of creating — and that begins with honouring each writer’s ownership of their work.
Respectful Feedback and Conduct
We’re here to write better books, not to tear each other down. Feedback should be specific, constructive, and focused on improving the work. Critique the writing, never the writer. If you disagree with someone’s views, keep it to yourself — address only the writing or don’t comment at all. Be honest, but never cruel.
When you share your writing, remember that critique is part of becoming a professional writer. Take what’s useful, leave what isn’t, and keep going. Resist the urge to defend your work or argue your case — progress comes from showing up, listening, and refining your craft, not from explaining yourself or arguing.
We all come from different stages and genres, but the standard is the same: professionalism, respect, and a genuine commitment to our mutual progress.
